It is a widespread belief that the application of Car Wax lasts for a long time and there is no need to wax regularly. It is quite contrary because the wax needs to be applied on month’s intervals.
Choosing the right kind of wax for your car is very important to assure the shine for your car. You should choose a wax that does not contain abrasives. A wax containing abrasives can cause scratches to the surface and can haze the paint.
Most experts consider Carnauba wax to be of very good quality. This Car wax is relatively expensive but is still considered to be amongst the best because it sticks better and is easier to buff. However, hard work is still required during the application no matter how good the quality of the Car Wax is. Before applying the Car Wax, it is recommended to read the instructions on the package. Instead of applying the Car wax on the entire surface at once, it should be first tested on a patch.
When applying the Car Wax, it should be assured that the car is not parked in direct sunlight. Surfaces that are cool are better for applying the Car Wax. During applying Car Wax, you should work on one section of the car at a time and then proceed to the other.
You should wash and dry the car properly before applying wax to it. The Car Wax which is difficult to apply is considered to be more effective. This is because of the fact that the Car Waxes which are easier to apply need to be applied more often with shorter intervals in between.
You should use a Wax sponge for applying the Car Wax. Use circular motions during the application of the Wax and you should take care that the wax doesn’t get into seams and jambs. If it does, use a toothbrush to remove it. The Car Wax can be wiped off with the help of a towel. The Car Wax should not be left for more than 2 hours because it would be difficult to remove.
